Poster Presentations

Guidelines for poster presenters

Poster Format (A0)

All posters must be prepared in A0 format (841 × 1189 mm), portrait orientation.

  • Size: 841 × 1189 mm (A0)
  • Orientation: Portrait
  • Resolution: 300 dpi minimum
  • File format: PDF
  • Font size: Minimum 24pt for body text, 36pt+ for the title
  • Content: Title, authors and affiliations, introduction, methods, results, conclusions, references

 

Printing Service:

Posters can be printed at IP-Print, located close to the conference venue.

  • How it works: We arrange the printing for you — you only need to collect your poster

Bringing your own poster:

  • Print it at your home institution and bring it in a protective tube
  • Mounting materials will be provided at the venue

Oral Presentations and Symposia

Guidelines for oral presentations and symposia

Talk Duration

Each presentation is allocated 15 minutes in total, divided as follows:

  • Presentation: 12 minutes
  • Questions & discussion: 3 minutes
  • Applies to: both individual talks and talks within symposia

Session chairs will keep strict timing to ensure the programme runs smoothly. Please rehearse your talk in advance to fit within the allocated time.

Option 1: Use your own laptop (recommended)

  • Connect directly to the projector in the lecture hall
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session to test the connection
  • Bring your own adapter if your laptop does not have a standard HDMI port

Option 2: Use the venue desktop computer

  • A desktop computer is available in the lecture hall
  • Deadline: Send your presentation file to lab.forpsicom@gmail.com by 6 October 2026
  • Subject line: “Presentation — [Your Name]”
  • Files received after this date cannot be guaranteed to be loaded in time

 

Symposium organisers: please coordinate with your speakers so that all files are sent together in a single email where possible.

Projector setup, screen resolution and file preparation for the lecture hall

Lecture Hall Equipment

Please prepare your slides according to the specifications below to avoid display problems during your talk.

  • Screen resolution: 1920 × 1080 (Full HD)
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9 (widescreen)
  • Connection: HDMI
  • Operating system: Windows

 

File Preparation

  • Accepted formats: PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF
  • Slide size: Set your slides to 16:9 — 4:3 slides will appear with black bars on either side
  • Fonts: Embed all fonts, or use standard system fonts (Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman)
  • Media: Embed videos and audio directly in the file rather than linking to external files
  • Internet: Do not rely on a live internet connection for any part of your talk

 

Recommendations

  • Minimum font size of 24pt so that slides remain readable from the back of the room
  • Use high contrast between text and background
  • Bring a backup copy of your presentation on a USB drive
  • Test your file on a Windows machine beforehand if it was prepared on a Mac
